E36 cockpit airflow?

Has anyone figured out how to mount a NACA duct in the driver door mirror / A-pillar area of an E36? We're getting tired of sticking our hand out the window to get fresh air. The added bonus would be filling the area between the window net and A-pillar. Attaching it to the pillar seems to be the most robust, but I worry about egress.

Any ideas?

I’m sure you will get lots of good feedback that is E36 specific, but I would not put it on the drivers side.  I’d do the passenger side and put a hose on it to flow it over to the drivers side.  Egress and mirror obstruction are both issues on the drivers side.

Thanks for the advice. I abandoned the idea this morning after mocking it up with some cardboard.

NACA duct ended up in the passenger rear window with a hose running to the front. I'm not expecting much airflow. But it sure does look racy! 😎
