Those motors are so cheap, I'm SURE they will fall under the 2020 $2500 limit.  BAWAHAHAHAHA

Thread is gone :)

So what happens after Mender gets his unlimited fuel wish accepted?

All cars are going to be turbo charged 1970s minis (lightest car in the list?) running 40psi and 40 gallons of fuel?

Sorry has to be a car on the vpi list 😜, or maybe with the JDM provision you could make it work call it a mazda "929" motor.

Third rotor is just repurposed stuff.  Don’t worry about it.  🤪

Someone has to make a video where they take a part from the car, melt it down and forge or cast a new part from it.

They sure are.  The rules are simply hp in, they don't say anything about the number of engines going in.  A triple rotor is just one extra middle housing and rotor with a long crank.

Say each 13B engine is $300, weld 1.5 cranks together, weld 1.5 intakes together, weld 1.5 headers together.  ECU is free along with injectors.  I've seen people claim things much more extravagant than that.  Each 13B engine is 135 hp so hp in is 202.5 hp tops.

An na 20b is probably 240 to 260 hp.

The eccentric shaft alone is worth about 2k.....

You are much better off trying to make a coupling to stick 2 13b together....

One 13b for the front wheels, one 13b for the rear wheels

a 13b  with stand alone can be produce 190 + , weigh 248 lbs , and not produce the torque to wreck the miata 5 speed  , except for fuel , would be a light 8500 rpm screamer..

No. It's never been about unlimited fuel or even more fuel for most cars.

The basic premise is to bring the fuel poor cars in line with the Golden Standard for points, not start a another speed leap.

It would essentially be the same formula as hp for engine swaps. You can buy fuel with points but past a reasonable (E30/36) level and the points cost skyrockets.

I've explained my thoughts quite a few times here as most people can attest to. ☺
