I just re-watched the Board meeting video, the quote was "less than 5% of the membership is on the forums". So we have 10 times the participation.

10w-40 Royal Purple XPR in engine

Redline MTL in trans

75w-90 Royal Purple in diff

 

5 races with nothing exploding so I’m sticking with it.

And your car is manual? What kind of car is it? Do you know if they are moly coated bronze syncros or fiber?

It's a Toyota w58 manual. Literally no idea but it's working? I run it in my s2000 trans too.

I think most people will tell you that is too light, in the 7 cst range seems low.  But I am on my 3rd maybe 4th W58 so don't listen to me.

Know your temps?  A "7cst" oil is just fine if you stay under ~80C.  We ran Redline D4 for years as it minimized trans temps (good indication it's the lowest loss).  7cst oil, gears and synchros were happy with it.  Surprisingly the shift forks were not, so had to increase viscosity a bit to stop them wearing out.

Theres a reason I keep a spare w58 in the trailer and another at the hangar....\
