Race Ready car For Sale in Florida???

Recommended Posts

As the title suggests, I am looking to get into ChampCar and we're looking for a Race Ready (or mostly Race Ready) car to buy.  I would also prefer that it be in Florida so I can take a look at the car before buying.

Please send any and all cars...

Thanks for the help!!!

Can you be a little more specific on what you are lookin for? Price? Spares? Ect.?

$3k-8k depending on spares, like electronics/data logging/digital dash, 12 spare wheels and tires, 6 running engines, 10 trans in different states, 2-3 extra running cars...

Current 2019 tech, raced at Road Atlanta and Daytona with minimal issues, 90+% track time overall, about 16 races with Champcar over the last 4-5 years.

Hey everyone, thanks for sharing... I should have been more specific... I'm 6'6", so I would probably shy away from Miata's, but depending on how the cage is built could make it work... thank you Chummy.

BeastZ06 - Is it the Neon you're talking about?  I would prefer to not spend more than $4k, but depending on Spares, Electronics, current seat/harnesses, etc. may be convinced to spend more...

There's no price posted for the E36 on Facebook but if I had to guess their probably asking in the $8K-$10K range...

Unfortunately your going to have a hard time finding anything competitive currently in the $4K range...there was a quick, sorted and competitive '01 Nissan Maxima up north that went for $5K

Unfortunately, there’s no chance of you fitting with the current cage in my neon. The seat is on sliders, but even removed would likely need the floor cut and lowered. 6’2” is the tallest that have been in the car and they don’t really fit.

One of the Neons i have done fits a 6' 6" guy. You have some hope.

You need to cut out the floor lateral ribs the oem seat rests on. Build support rails for the seat out of 1x1 that goes on the bottom of floor welded to pinch weld and at tunnel. Hammer floor flat to the 1x1 and get the seat\slider\brackets such that the seat bottom almost drags the floor. OEM floor pan can be left intact, saving a ton of time over cutting a car for a drop pan (done that, it stinks).

As you can see from the last picture I have tons of Miata spares. I think there's 4 miatas behind the race car. I also have a couple more. And probably five cars in parts. The car will come with spare Smurf colored doors and rear bumper. If you'd like other spare parts we can definitely work something out
