Team Infiniti
Long ago we experienced purple K, as Doc has recently mentioned, it was better to let his car burn longer then use that stuff, they made a great call, that extinguishant is evil corrosive. More recently, Sunday Indy last lap, I found myself on pit road with either a big piece of clag or possibly the dislodged fuse box cover near the exhaust manifold, on fire of our hood-less car, someone was nice enough to pop their standard ABC fueling bottle to put me out, great! Wait, even with the attempted timely removal of the dust it is obvious there is going top be wire corrosion. Anyone have ideas how to neutralize this stuff before it gets too deep in the wires? Guest E. Tyler Pedersen
When my car caught fire I just went ahead and took a power washer to it then took it to Iowa to have it rewired.
Team Infiniti
The unfortunate part is, aside from a disused rubber vent hose, there is no damage aside from what the powder is going to do.
