RandomTask
Allowed? Due to the no funnels allowed rule, need a better fill spot. ATL wants ~$650 to relocate the filler spout. I can CNC a plate and relocate for way cheaper. Rules mention not being able to alter stock tanks but is it acceptable for aftermarket? Thanks! Slugworks Paul
You're moving the fill port on the filler plate of the fuel cell? It isn't clear to me what you're doing.

This must be a fuel cell without the deformable bladder? Pics would help, show where you want it and where it currently is?

Basically, they sell this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/abt-tf703/overview/ This is half of what you need. I could build the oval piece for really cheap to save a couple hundred bucks. Slugworks Paul
I don't see an issue with modifying the top plate (or making a new one) as long as it fits up as designed and seals well. I'd check with tech to be sure.

That cell has a centrally located fill plate. Are you moving the location of the fill plate or changing to a different fill plate? Technical Advisory Committee Ray Franck Posted August 6, 2019 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted August 6, 2019 Can't you just change the fill neck . The vent has a rollover valve " ball" made into it .
Gkuhn41
We have the same cell, we have modified our 6x10 filler plate to accommodate level sensor and different vent. Both installed using ATL parts with appropriate rollover valves/ bulkhead fittings. We did not move or alter our filler neck. IF it was me, id purchase a 6X10 pre drilled with an ATL filler neck then build what i needed off of that. That way you have a ATL filler neck with a flapper on it the way it should be. Vents and stuff are as simple as the proper fittings with rollover valves and punching the appropriate holes.
