Don’t know but I just looked it up and Wikapedia has 2064 lbs. maybe there was a variation that was that light.

Not in the US.  Other markets got a 1.3L bare bones version with rear drum brakes, and it was lighter.
I assumed the lighter weight was due to confusion from a foreign market car.

This is the US market car:

And here is the foreign market 1.3L car, 2094 lbs...

As the rules are written for US/Canadian cars and US/Canadian engines only, it seems I should be judged by that standard.

I could buy that as a probability.

weights have nothing to do with whatever the cars weigh anymore.   Some cars use actual weight, some use actual minus 10%, some use some made up number so a certain swap can be allowed to skirt the rules.    There's no longer 1 ruleset for all cars when it comes to swap, different rules for different makes/models.

Poking around at the calculator, I noticed inconsistencies.  I think this may have just been an oversight in this case. I requested a correction to published curb weight less 10%, per the BCCR.

4.5.2.1.  “weight” is the advertised vehicle curb weight  minus 10%.

How  Do i get the correct weight for the 1996 Chevy S10 . It is listed at 2700#  for the swap math and it is  actaually  over 3100 with the 4.3 .

I did the Ford Ranger,  245HP Vette engine swap  and it came out  under the break.  The S10 comers out over the break with anything over the 195 HP 4.3 .

 Thanks,MM
