Technical Advisory Committee Chris Huggins Posted September 8, 2019 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted September 8, 2019 Yes and no. ABS is a no brainer to save your tires when a driver has a oh s*it moment, but repeated use will cause octagonal tires because its too slow Power steering is fine to use also, we ran it for many races with no negative effects. We pulled it off to save weight, and with the 4.0 turn lock-to-lock factory ratio rack, its not been an issue for any of us.
jakks
ABS- yes. Drove without for first team I was on. It's not a high tech system and is 30 years old. It still works for what we need it to. It's also an easy system to diagnose if you have any issues with it. PS- No. I don''t notice a difference with it on track. In the pits it's bearable without it .
