Rob, you have us all crushed then.

My favorite is "Weird Noise"  That could mean 100 different things, but good to know.

Oh, if you had heard it, you would know.  It is very "distinct".  Lolzers.

This will probably be the only battle I win this year!  Haha!

Our team works on the race car together every Wednesday night throughout the year, and then put in extra time as needed when race weekend approaches.

We typically make a list on my phone throughout the race, and then review/update it on the first Weds Work Night after the race.  We transfer the list to a giant flipchart in the garage so that we can work and check off things as they get done, as well as add new things easily for everyone to see.

I would love to have even one other person help me with the car.

I used to have @bbaker480 and sometimes @MA506.

Now, nuthin.  Just me.  And I'm about fed up with wrenching or staring at it all the time....

Edit:  I should clarify that I moved several states away from the pair mentioned above.  They would (and have) come way down here to help occassionaly.

Know the feeling.  Our "team" was spread out over 2, sometimes 3 states.  And people dropped out over time.  A few of us would try to get together over a 3 day weekend once or twice a year to wrench.  Otherwise it came down to whoever's garage it was parked in to be motivated to do stuff.

Anyone else down there racing?

I have done well making friends with other local teams in my town. They race other series for the most part, but we all work on the cars together in a shop we share. Totally lucked out, despite never racing together before we bumped into each other and figured out 3 teams live within 5 miles of each other.

Otherwise the motivation, labor and resources are hard to manage.

Where's your shop.  I'm up in Hickory.

We are in Mooresville, west side of town. I used to work with one of your teammate's brother. Message me if you want to catch up sometime.

Our car is in Mooresville, we may have to get together some time and pick your brain while we are building.

I have ventured down to help from time to time but it's hard to make the time for garage stuff when you are traveling.  Since @wvumtnbkr moved my car has pretty much sat stationary waiting on someone to motivate me to work on it.

If only there was a team like Rbank less than 30 minutes away from you!

Wait, you own a Saab and don't drive with them? How did that happen?

Like @wvumtnbkr said I bought it from them, and they want it back for a parts car when I'm done with it.  Aside from a rear window regulator it's doing just fine though, so it might be a while.

Here are the final changes from last night:

3) We left clutches and flywheels open.  Too hard to check, unenforceable.

So open as in still steel flywheels and same clutch number per the earlier KB post, or open to the point of multi disc clutches and any material flywheels?
