Administrators Bill Strong Posted January 25, 2021 Administrators Report Share Posted January 25, 2021 Tech wanted me to pass on some info: As of January 1, 2021, BCCR 3.2.9. A dash bar is mandatory. The OE dash bars are not a legal dash bar. The dash bar must be made of the same roll cage steel as the rest of the cage. 1.5" diameter x .095" wall thickness minimum. You may be asked to show tech how the dash bar is welded to the A-Pillar bars. So those with a dash installed over the bar, be prepared to give them access. They may also test the thickness of the tube wall. 360-degree welds are required on the dash bar. Tech also sees incomplete cage main hoops. You must have a horizontal bar extending from one side of the main roll hoop to the other. And as a reminder: BCCR 3.2.13. No waivers or “repair by next event” allowances will be granted on any roll-cage issue. Make sure it’s 100% right the first time.
