FOR SALE (SOLD!): Desert-Owned (Phoenix Area) RX8 Rebuild Project w/Coolant System Upgraded for Racing

I'm not a racer, but my brother is, and he and his racing friends strongly suggested I list the 8 here, so here it is.

 

It's been such a great car that I'd hate to see it end up in a boneyard when it could be put to its best use on a track, where these carbon buildup monsters belong anyway to keep them running!

 

Asking $1900 but happy to negotiate a bit with someone who will make good use of it.

So this gorgeous machine is in a rebuild phase, as I'm pretty sure it just blew an apex seal. The price is low because you WILL need some engine work on this bad boy.

 

That said, the rest of it is outstanding. One owner, nearly all desert-owned (great for everything except for the paint, particularly the roof).

 

Most of the stock annoyances on the RX8 have been fixed or recently replaced:

+ Upgraded starter motor
+ Upgraded coolant system, including radiator, hoses, overflow tank, and sensor (the fan kicks on early, at 180)
+ Brand new window lift motors on both doors
+ Brand new water pump
+ Brand new battery
+ Immaculate interior and trunk
 

This is one incredible car that will make the right owner very happy with a little TLC. Gonna hate to see her go, but it's time.

Great color!  Same as the one in my driveway!

 

These are sooper fun cars.

 

Engine swaps for r acecars are easy too.  No issue with the canbus system if going to aftermarket dash.
