connorc
I just moved to Athens Georgia from Wisconsin where I previously built, crewed, and raced cars for my uncle and our team. We built two Gen 2 Integras to run in Champ Car endurance races at Road America and three E30 BMWs to run in SCCA and VSCDA vintage events. My primary role on the team was to assist my uncle and another mechanic in building the cars. I was in charge in wiring primarily and then suspension assembly and testing. I drove numerous times in 2018 and 2019 and had my full competition license with SCCA. I did renew that license for 2020 but did not have the chance to race. Obviously, I am not licensed in Georgia and don't plan to unless I find an opportunity that's good for me and a team I am looking to get involved with any teams or events looking for an extra hand, even if that's just pushing a broom. I miss being surrounded by the culture and the cars and just want to volunteer my time to get back to it. I have a decent amount of experience working on them ranging back to 2010. I do not care what kind of work it is that teams are looking for, I've never had a hard time with physical labor, I just love to work on or around anything that drives! If you are within an hour or so from Athens GA Id love to volunteer on a regular basis. Farther away I can still manage but on a more occasional basis.
