Pit Lane Candy Crawl at Road America
The future of racing is our communities and children. Please join us by helping in our candy crawl.
Teams are encouraged to dress up (appropriately) and give out candy while sparking interest in our sport and club.

Saturday 5:00 pm-6:30 pm after impound.
Teams may line up in front of their pit boxes or they can be in the paddock if they need to work on their car.
Some candy will be supplied by Road America. You are welcome to bring your own to hand out.

*Prize for best dressed team is one free car entry at the 2022 Spring Road America ChampCar Event.
ChampCar staff will determine the best Halloween decorations and costumes. Decisions are final.
Keep decorations and costumes appropriate for children that will be around you.
As children will be around the pit and paddock, please be aware of your language and be careful when welding or prepping your cars.

*The fine print - Entry is one car, and all crew and drivers excluding club fees. The free event is only available for the Spring Road America weekend event. Free entry is not transferable. Once the event is opened up to enter, the event director will enter your car into the race.
You must be entered in the 2021 Frozen Rotors Winter Classic at Road America and complete one lap to be eligible for the free race.

14 entries for RA a couple months out? That seems, low..

Maserati BiTurbo? Now there are some masochists'.

I thought the same.

And the Dead Pedal car has been around for quite a while.  It went through a recent rebuild IIRC.  We ran against them at BIR last weekend.  They did relatively well.

Almost 20 now, and we have a few days before early entry ends.  I'm thinking lots of teams wanted to get through races like VIR to make sure they still had a car before dropping money.

I have to register still. It’s a tossup if I’ll have the car ready but at least I can roll entry forward if I’m not ready in time (lots of IRL stuff happening).

We are on our 16th week waiting for parts.  Seems like we are out for the season.

That sucks. What are you waiting on?

That said I'll raise you, I'm waiting on our 18th month of a closed US border.

I remember seeing the Maser out there in the past. Cool car but one has to think maintenance would be difficult.

I see they won their class at Brainerd.

We bought a "new" trailer 2 weeks before spring RA and broke a torsion axle on the way there.  I ordered a replacement the week we got home and still dont have an ETA.  We will likely be borrowing a trailer for a 3rd time in a row, so I feel you.

They did, but IIRC a few cars broke out of C right away and joined the party in B.  Couldn't have been more than a few cars left.  Finishing is still an accomplishment though.

Timothy, hope your treatment goes well and you’re beck up and at ‘em soon. I’ve enjoyed your demeanor and excitement you’ve shared with us here, and on the live broadcasts.  Looking forward to seeing your car in person and meeting you.

Thank you all, my Doctor's are very positive at this point but keeping me aware of the accumulative affects of both the radiation and chemo, this weekend it is harder to swallow and will get worse as it goes on, but I'm in good spirits as always, I will make it through all this and I will be at the race at RA but not running. I look forward to seeing you all there! At least the type of cancer I have is fairly treatable compared to what it could have been. They say it's caused by HPV that can hide for decades the suddenly flair up, the way I caught it was my tongue started going numb on one side, and started loosing taste.  They say it's becoming very common among 50-60 year old men. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers!

CFR Racing will be there with our '89 CRX - we should be on the list.  Is there going to be a Friday Test & Tune option?

Yes It's put on by Road America, should be able to find it at Motorsportsreg.com. $350.00.
