QuaTTro
The fire suppression system in our car was accidently set of very briefly. Like very little stuff came out the nozzle and we've since had our bottle refilled/recert. But it got me wondering....did the stuff that went through the lines get them clogged up? Do the lines and nozzles need cleaned or replaced?
Billy
We were concerned we got trash in our lines when installing them and blew them all out with compressed air before buttoning up the connections. You could try disconnecting the lines at the extinguisher and shooting air thru it and make sure you're at least getting air from all nozzles. You'd at least blow out any residual stuff in the system. Not a perfect method but better than nothing.
Team Infiniti
Had the same issue, a brief deploy/re cert, was worried but never acted till a year later, air blew through the lines and nozzles just fine.
Technical Advisory Committee Ray Franck Posted October 13, 2021 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted October 13, 2021 Yes blowing the lines out is a good idea, blow reverse direction also. Next loosen the cables remove centers, clean and lubricate then reinstall with a little slack for movement as to prevent the cables from seizing within themselves and preventing activation of fire system.

Yah, I always leave a little slack in the cable and test wiggle often. There's no stop on the cable, and in true emergency I plan to yank it straight out of the dash.
