Skylar Scrivano
Does anyone happen to know if there will be a track/practice day that preceeding Friday (Dec 3)? Thanks!

Thanks! Probably. Emphasis on the probably part. Sometimes VIR will do a charity lapping thing. But there's also a chance that one of the local HPDE groups will be running. Once we get more information and pricing we'll push it out to you guys. Dana

Technical Advisory Committee Chris Huggins Posted November 25, 2021 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted November 25, 2021 Its looking more like I will be able to come to this one. I will bring my gear if there are any seats that open up last minute. I know my way around North Course, you turn right after the bridge.

Administrators Bill Strong Posted December 1, 2021 Author Administrators Report Share Posted December 1, 2021 Two thing happen in December. We race the VIR North course, and we get disappointing gifts for Christmas...... My cynicism may be showing again... But in fairness I already know for a fact that I'm getting a vacuum cleaner for Christmas, and not a cool shop-vac that will pull the paint off a race car, no it's just a vacuum. Anyway, you guys want your pit assignments. This is supposed to be an email full of final information details, but all you really want are your pit assignments. So I put them father down. As usual, please take a few minutes to look over the Supplemental Rules here. Remember to refresh your cache so you are looking at the most current version, we have made some updates. Should be version 2 now. So, loading in on Friday. As it stands right at this moment (and yes it might change) we should be able to go directly to the North paddock when we enter. That will be good cause we can set-up and not have to move. If that changes we'll let you know at the gate, but it looks good to load directly into the North. Tech stuff. If you already have a Tech form in the system, and a 2021 Annual Tech Decal, settle into your space on Friday and come visit registration. If this is your first race of 2021, you (the Team Captain) will find a new button link on your main login page. The tab Submit a Tech Form will take you to an electronic form that looks just like the paper Tech Inspection form. Simply fill in all the boxes at the top, then fill in or click on the listed point value items on your car. Save the form and you are done. At the track the Tech staff will simply check the required safety items on the car. Once the Tech staff clicks save on the safety portion of your online form you will get your Annual sticker and head to Registration. If you have not raced with us yet in 2021 remember to get your driver safety gear inspected. You will need a 2021 Gear Check sticker on your helmet to race. Gear Check will be in the Tech shed. New Drivers and New to ChampCar. If you are new to racing with ChampCar, if this is your first wheel-to-wheel race ever, or if you just want a refresher please join us for our New to ChampCar meeting Friday at 6:00pm. The meeting will take place on the 2nd floor above Registration. A video version of the meeting can be viewed here. But please plan to come to the meeting anyway. Speaking of the Registration Staff... Please take a few minutes to review your team's registration. Checking things like membership status for each driver and your payment balance can make the check-in process go much quicker. Yes we will have a regular Drivers Meeting both Saturday and Sunday at 7:00am. After the Drivers Meeting get your drivers buckled in and we'll be ready to go. Ok, your pit assignments. I'm going to tell myself that you have all read the email. But I know you all skipped down. Click here. Thanks very much! Dana & Your ChampCar Staff.
