FS 2004 BMW 325ci E46

Recommended Posts

It’s a 2004 325ci coupe.  2.5L with manual trans.  Engine was overheated, so the best economical step would be to get a long block.  They are very easy to source.

Many near new parts on the engine. New plugs, coils, Stewart Performance water pump.  Heater delete. CSF high performance radiator. Baffled oil pan. ZHP cams. Matched 3.0L purple top injectors. Has 3.0L intake and MAF. AFE air filter.

ECU has an Active Autowerks tune and was dyno tuned in Miami. 200 HP at the wheels.

Spec E46 exhaust by Bimmerworld.

Bilstein struts/shocks, with H&R springs. All polly bushings throughout. Hotchkis front sway bar.  Rear subframe reinforced, as well as front strut towers.

3.0L brakes front and rear.  All calipers were rebuilt with new seals. Stainless braided brake lines front and rear. Bronze bushings front and rear as well. Raybestos pads front and rear. can't remember what compound though.

Axles were rebuilt, new fluid in diff and transmission.

It has a lightweight flywheel and upgraded clutch, just can't remember the brands right now.  I will add when I remember.

Everything in the car in the pics is included with the car except the seat. I’m keeping that, it fits me well.

There’s more things like the Cool Suit setup that you can’t really see or the Lifeline fire system and the radio are all included.

I have a bunch of pics from when I was building the car as well, that are available upon request.

Most of the parts were bought new and have very low miles on them. Basically, everything on this car was either replaced or rebuilt, aside from the engine and transmission.  they received new fluids and filters.

The only other thing it will need is an ABS module.  it was burned up when the cage was welded in. (long story).

Also the battery my need to be replaced. the car has sat for over a year now.

Most of the spare parts were good parts that were replaced with new parts, that's what's in the boxes you see.

as of it's last race, it was sitting at 500 points.  I haven't looked at current rules, but it should be at 500 or less, currently.

Have no idea of price.  I was thinking $8-9,000. I'm open to reasonable offers. Price is OBO. Please feel free to post what you feel this car is worth in it's current condition. I've invested many hours of my blood, sweat and beers building it.

Please feel free to ask questions, I will answer them as best I can.

Again, any feedback on value will be appreciated.

I'd suggest reviewing the build carefully before assuming this a is a 500 pt car.

That said, this would appear to be a good deal if someone wants an E46.

I would agree - based on the current rule book. One would need to find a stock 2.5 to get it back to under 500 pts. No cam or other go fast add on engine parts are in the picture for a 475 pt car. Still a great car in stock trim.

All I know is karma's a bitch and that's why they have small claims court...

Kind of like the drivers that wreck a car or have caused damage while their driving other peoples sh*t and runaway and disappear never to be seen or heard from again which I've heard stories of

So, it seems that zero cool has the car and is trying to sell it.

Racer rx7 is on the team and has money invested in the car.

It seems racerx7 is calling out zero cool for trying to sell the car behind the teams back.

It also seems there may be legal action between zero cool and racerx7.

Does that summarize?

this is pretty close.  the main difference is its my car not his.  my name and only my name is on the title, and it is and always was stored in my garage.

there is a lot more back story to this that isn't being said, and I'm not the one to say it, because this isn't the place for it.

all I can say is I haven't heard from him in 2 years and the first thing I hear, is "I'm taking you to court, or we can meet."

nothing is stopping him from buying the car from me.  all he had to do is ask.  it was no secret I wanted to sell the car.

Well, since this thread has turned into a poop show, I have decided to just keep the car in the back yard, and let mother nature reclaim it over the next 20 years. Because Brian has so much incriminating evidence, but can't do anything until I sell my car, I just won't sell it and he won't be able to take me to court.

I guess Karma wins in the end after all.

Fin.

however I will always be curious as to why he didn't want to buy the car from me, seemed like the easiest solution.  My guess is he hasn't had a job in 3 years and needs a payday, and no, not the candy bar. But who knows.

hoped everyone enjoyed the show on how not to sell a race car.
