Checking in for the Corner 12 Crew from Road America. First of all, thanks to all of you who made us feel welcome. This was our first event as a team and the first road race for all of us as car drivers. One of our guys has motorcycle racing history and 3 of us actually volunteer at RA on a regular basis. We had a great time. Our car is a 97 Honda Civic. We converted the car from a circle track car in 2 weeks of late nights and a lot of part runs. It was worth every minute of knuckle busting and rusty bolts. For anyone considering giving this a try, don't wait, just do it. Our goal was to have fun and to finish which we did. We took 17th on Saturday and 11th on Sunday. Not bad considering the time spent digging pea gravel out of the chassis and swapping tires, eh....thanks Eric. You now have a summer re-landscaping job, LOL!

Please pass along our sincere thanks and admiration for the awesome workers at Road America!

Your team was great on track and the dedication of the workers in the weather we experienced was phenomenal.

Glad you guys had fun, come race with us in Iowa in a few weeks!

Yeah, I costed us a bit of time with that stupid move at three. The video showed it pretty clear. The left front just got hooked a bit on the outside and pulled me right in. I know we have plenty of time in that car. I know I can get down to about 3:15 at least with that thing. Next time will be much better.

I do concur, all the other competitors were great to run with. Clean racing all the way around. Thanks to all that helped with suggestions, welding, etc! Not to mention the teammates for making the weekend what it was!
