cowboys647
Last time we came to this event we showed up right at the gate open time on the move in day and found nearly every spot full where everyone decided to come the day before. In the supps it says no teams in before Friday. Is this a hard and fast rule? Trying to plan travel and this is going to have an impact

Ssssshh. The pressure of first-come-first-serve is extreme here. A paddock/pit stall request chart thingy ahead of time might alleviate a lot of it, and stress. @Bill Strong "marketing guy but you're active on the forum" think that's doable? It's easy to see the pit stalls on google earth to draw up something. Hey it would also give you a cheat sheet if you gotta track down a team. Wink
I'll say that having my box roll backwards down the west hill, was not a fun experience for the team. That was on Thursday BTW.. If the locals are going to lay claim to the south end of the paddock, the LEAST they can do is get parked in there tight, and not take up 1 3/4 spots.

Things have changed a lot since track ownership has changed a bit. So procedures are different. Let's see how this goes, and if needed, we can suggest this for the fall event. QuaTTro
Paddock has pit spots marked for 45 cars and there are 43 entries currently....plus a couple often drop out by race day. I've been to every H2R race and we've always fit everyone into a pit spot. Also, if you feel like people are spreading out into 1.5 pit stalls (I've never seen this), you can ask the track manager and he will get everyone moved into othe right spots for you. I'm a member of the track and I don't arrive or pit setup before Friday. I'm pitted usually on the wall and I move my gear/tools/spares into my pit stall before the race because my spot does not have room for my truck or trailer behind it. Works great.
