Buy fuel for championship now?

With the cost of fuel going way up...  is it a smart move to buy the fuel I need for the championship now?  I assume that the 1.5 months away race means the fuel won't go bad if stored in my race jugs (capped).

Whatchyall think?

Too late probably...

Maybe not...  my corner gas station just showed me the planned increase by his distributor.  Going up .12 to .20 a day for the next 5 days.  5 days is all the further the forecast goes right now.

Are you planning to break down part way through day 1?

That should get me through the first day.  9 jugs.  3 + pit stops.

So I think the $250 in fuel won't get you thru the full weekend with practice day? Hope it works out for you.

It won't.  I don't have any more jugs.  That's 9 full jugs.

Good man. We’re all gonna come back to this thread ahead of race and evaluate this investment plan. Lol

Worst case I spent about 60$ more than I would have.  Best case......?

Semi-hijack, but does anyone happen to recall how much extra WGI would charge for premium vs what’s available in town?
Just curious to see if it’s as big of a difference as it is up here.

I don't know ow for sure, but I always think it's like 1.50$ a gallon more at the track.

I used to search out non-ethanol fuel, slightly better fuel economy and the car was tuned for it. I remember being a bit put out when I had to pay almost $4/gallon a few years ago...
