We will post a recap for how things went for us but for now we have to focus on getting things caught up at the shop. Had a great event with all of you!

I think people are missing out. It’s a fun track. The folks that operate it want you there and are really nice. They even stopped by my trailer to see if we wanted them to move one of the big lights over so we could see to work on the car since the sun was going down and asked if we needed anything else (they didn’t have the alternator we needed or magic smoke to put back in our 3rd one or any electrical gremlin be-gone) so we were finished. Everyone still had fun with the issues we had. Congratulations to RVA! 6
ABR-Glen
At least two cars ae racing at Brainerd this weekend instead of doing the 24 at Nelson's last weekend.
Money Shift Racing
Long 24 hour race over the weekend. Started in 12th position. After roughly 190 gallons in fuel, 3 gallons of oil, and no sleep; we finished 1st in B Class and 4th overall. Emergency stops for : A flat spotted tire Transmission leak Vibration on a loose wheel Safety wardrobe malfunction. Tiny Electrical fire from tail light wire. ALL Which cost us over an hour of time off track. We crossed the finish line 1st in class and 4th overall. Thanks to all the support we got from family friends and other race teams. Special thanks to: Our wives who puts up with 80 hour work weeks and help prepping food and lodging. Myron Myron getting the frame straight from last years Pitt Race crash. Keith for emergency driving his ass off and keeping oil in the engine. Daniel Rice for holding down the shop and continuing to support our customers while we go play. 60 Degree Motorsports for race support. ChampCar Endurance Series for holding the event McLeod Clutches, AEM Performance Electronics, COOLSHIRT SYSTEMS, Lifeline Fire & Safety Systems USA, Racing Radios, Wilwood Disc Brakes, Hondata, and Silvers Suspension for helping us out with some awesome products. We feel like we finally got the combination of car and driver setup right to compete in this series for a little while. It's a great feeling to have. Thanks to all the other teams for the clean racing and awesome battles! Hopefully my spin through the kink around 2am(?) in the fog didn't mess anyone up. Whatever it is, it's got more entries *shrug* Either way, I hope there is more than one 24hr on the CCES calendar next year, I will seriously consider it. hotrod
Maybe before next year Nelson Ledges can stack their tires and bolt them or band them together. Having piles of tires lining the course as they are is not the safest.

I started complaining about it nearly 30 years ago. that place is where I earned my nickname. 1

LOL) Busy month, busy weekend in that part of the country, tons of racing options for drivers and obligations for team/crew. And yes, less than one month away from the other 24. October 14-16 solves all three problems. Maybe competes with Mosport? Early November? Another org has done well in November at NJMP and NCM. Likely cold sure, but racers are always itching to get a fix and there wouldn't be competing events. The same org flopped at NCM in July the following year with 1/2 the car count or less. A 24 is a great way to end the season for all the northern teams... Please? My team will bring 2 or 3 cars next year.

See more here. Those dates you suggest are only 2 weeks removed from PIRC's and will cause even less interest in a 24 at Nelson Ledges, especially from local teams. VIR's 24 does impact things even if it is a month removed, but this was most likely due to the 250% increase in fuel prices in the last 6 months more than anything else. VIR also has the draw of being a "bucket list" track for many teams/drivers to offset the fuel prices. I believe if you look at the wall on the front straight directly across from the tower, you will see that the wall is much better (unless some one has hit it since I was there last). SteMo
@Bill Strong Any chance you took photos of the gambling odds you guys had in the booth for how long the North by Northeast #380 team would last? I scrolled through the photo dump you had, but didn't see it and would love to get a shot of that. Had a great weekend as always. Went through 12 ignition coils, 5 gallons of oil, and ran ~8hours with somewhere between 5 and 3.5 cylinders... but we made it to impound in 5th place. To everyone who had to listen to us stumbling and backfiring for those first 8hrs...sorry 'bout that. 3
