Rapido
The beloved(?) Pontiac Solstice makes its return to the CCiS this week, with a different kind of challenge at Mid-Ohio. The long back straight means an optimal line through the keyhole is a must, whilst overtaking will be challenging and keeping up speed and momentum will be critical. Many thanks to @CoachMK21 for confirming the correct track configuration to align with the ChampCar event here this year. Otherwise, standard rules and session set-up, good luck! Rapido
Following this race, there was one protest submitted for review. Subject of protest: Tim Meyer Reason for protest: Avoidable contact Conclusion: Following analysis of the replay, decision is made to hand Tim Meyer a 10s penalty to his overall race time for the contact that occurred on the final lap of the race. It was felt that the initial contact was unfortunate and as a result of hard racing, but the subsequent contact was avoidable and resulted in an incident that materially impacted the final result of the race.
