2022 ChampCar iRacing Series: Final Results

I am pleased to announce the final results for the 2022 ChampCar iRacing Series. Continuing his dominant form from 2021, Mark McCormack was once again triumphant with an impressive 8 wins for the season. Justin Hall and Ian Giebeler both had similarly consistent results throughout the year and finished up 2nd and 3rd in the championship respectively. We have had 67 individual drivers finish at least one race this season, and it's been great to see the growth in the community and the league for another year. I've been grateful to meet a number of competitiors in person at various events over the last 12 months and it's been rewarding to bring another side of competition and camaraderie to existing members, whilst also introducing ChampCar to new racers through iRacing.

Participation

 

I'm pleased to announce that 11 drivers have fulfilled the participation requirement for the season and so will be entered into the random draw in order to win the second grand prize of ChampCar credit of $1500. This draw should take place on an upcoming ChampCar.Live broadcast.

Finally, I am sad to say that I will be stepping down from my role as administrator of the CCiS. It has been my privilege to help nurture and grow this league from it's inception in 2019 after a conversation with Doc in the paddock of VIR. I hope that everyone involved during this time has found something to enjoy in the league and community that we have created, and I hope to see it continue to grow through future years.

Also, is there a drawing date set for the participation award?

It is my understanding that @David Haines will be taking over administration, I'm sure that he or one of his team will be publicising updates on the 2023 season soon.

 

I had not yet co-ordinated a date for the drawing of the 2022 participation award with Dana and Bill, so I'm sure that will be a priority.
