Really not too bad, didn't change the alignment so Radiator support, right crumble zone, right fender, hood and grille, and radiator. And a fair amount of welding, cutting and straightening! I'll be back with him, by the middle of June!
hotchkis23
Ozark damage? That track is a car killer! So fun, but so risky to push.....

The track was no problem, I love it, I slightly over corrected and may have lifted where I shouldn't have! I did this not the track, I will go back for sure, in fact the track saved it from being worse! I went from 102 MPH at apex to probably 30-40 before impacting the Armco rf first but mostly sliding 90 degrees to it. Didn't hardly feel a thing! The track is more fun then any where I have been!

There are a lot of areas that make it extremely reliant on trusting those around you. Maybe this years event with less that 30 cars was cleaner, but the OG race was nothing less than carnage. I ran the OG race and didn't see any carnage on track, and thought the track was incredibly fun. One of our drivers screwed up and got stuck in a gravel trap, but the gravel trap did its job stopping our car before it could have hit something solid. On Sunday we had an epic battle with @wvumtnbkr, and after the event all of our drivers commented how much they enjoyed the track. I am glad that the track owner opened the practice day up to the street car yellow flag laps to allow all of us drivers to see the track before going out on it with our races cars in the rain! I thought that was a great Idea, and was very appreciative of getting some time to see the track at low speed in a street car.

Our car had the entire passenger side flattened in about 6 inches while leading on Saturday.... I don't have to go back to this track. Mainly because it's too far away, but also requires a "pair" to go fast. That creates a good bit of speed differential in some fast parts of the track.

Timothy G. Elliott
Well sorry to say, I'm not going to rush Turtle to do this race, His next outing will be at Gingerman. I'm just running out of time to do all that needs to be done yet, and want to put Turtle back together as good as new, so we're withdrawing from this race. Also a very slight swaying went from never running at Autobahn, and having many past laps at Gingerman. Likely next year I will finally do Autobahn!

Tim the Autobahn is one of the if not the safest track on the calendar. They drive expensive Ferrarries and Portches there all the time.

Very forgiving.

Here its like your driving over a golf course lol. 3

I'm sure it's safe heck the Ozark's is a very safe track to me, I just know the rush to put Turtle back would be stressful and not ever have run at Autobahn means more stress to learn a new track. I am happy waiting till next year. I will do it! But priorities at my age are important. Yes I'm old. Lol
