Total list of overall race winners...

Recommended Posts

I was thinking it'd be cool if we had list of all the total race wins for teams/cars. Maybe even top 5 or 10. Who has the most overall wins in Champ/Chumpcar history? I wanna know but don't have the tech-savvy to do so. If someone has the knowledge/ time/ expertise to do so over this rainy cold Easter weekend it would be awesome. Beers on me if anyone's up for it. If it were to be done, then it could be updated after each race to keep it going. Bored at home now, thanks for listening to me.

This would be interesting.  There are 479 race result entries in Speedhive/MyLaps, dating back to January 9, 2010. I thought the first race was in 2009, so it  might be missing some early ones. I'll take a look at putting this together.

I have a five year history that has not been updated in the last year or so but I think it is by type of car not team. I will look if team name is in the data/spreadsheet.  But Andrew has done some of this work as well we can ask him if he has it updated.

There were a couple races in 09, not sure how they were scored.

First race was Portland 2009 on Halloween. At https://champcar.org/web/history.php it says there were 5 races in 09.

Oh man... the good 'ol days! ASL turbo Miata had the fastest lap of the race, 1.5 seconds slower than my car today, which is in the slowest class in LD.

it's been about 750 races.

i should be able to do a data dump and skort this out.

That would be awesome.  Any chance you could calculate a winning percentage?

Wouldn't be surprised if the track was cold and wet. October in Portland. :)

It was everything. It was a 24 hour race with sun, rain, fog, cold and  dark. Just a regular day at PIR. But still, the cars have gotten a lot faster... That's a decent average lap time for the slowest LD class now, fastest being in the 1:28-29's. Not sure where champ would be... They're welcome to come back here so we can find out 😁👍

2010-2015. I did NOT count Sprint Races. Too many to sort through and this is ChampCar ENDURANCE Racing.

MR2 Biohazard-6

Simon Says-6

Ronald's Racers-7

Mopar 4 Life-8

Tubby Butterman-8

British American Racing-8

Chump Faces-11

Edit: Need to work on some formatting

2016-2020. I did not count any "Wins" by any EC teams. I would move down the order to the first classed car.

Cone Crushers-6

Door Slammers-6

Premium Dudes-6

Pinkie's Out/Huggins-7

rbankrancing-11

Based on data, rbank/90 racing would have the most wins.
