kent merkle
Ok,much to the delight of Joey Todd (the ShadMax hater )and his tech staff clonies(yea, you know who you are). The Shadow is going to have to be put down.(letter's from PITA coming now)Stiggy and the Hot Shoe Ringer's from Canada, rang out all she had left in her tired rusty ole body. But boy was it SWEET to see her finish 8th.,heck just finish!!! So here is what we need all the Chumpdom wisdom for. New car choice's 1)1984 Chevy Citation 2.8 v6 auto tranny 2)1993 Ford Tempo 2.3/5spd and 3) 1994 Dodge Daytona that we can swap our Shadow powerplant into. Epic choices i know! So ponder wisely oh grasshopper and choose, with reason's why.

ChumpStang
I would stay away from any automatic just on principal. That's what we were thinking but the tranny in the Shadow has yet to cause a single issue other than a bad main seal on Sunday at BeaveRun which just made it thirsty but caused no problems. Guest posnova
Pick a K-body that you can use the larger engines in. The Gen II minivan with the 3.8 Chrysler EGH (or 3.3 EGA) are sweet choices if you can keep a transmission behind (rather beside) it and drivelines in it.Transplant that engine into something a little shorter, like a Spirit or Acclaim. Guest Taylorcraftbc65
I vote for the 74 Comet with a Ford 351 Cleveland engine and a manual tranny. CometMaximaNew YorkerCamry manualanother MaximaSentraEscortPrelude
Jeff G 78
Stop the presses... I found a great crapcan for you. How about a "hopped up" Tempo that the owner claims runs 10's (in the 1/8 maybe...) and gets 38 mpg. 1993 Tempo with 2.3L SVO engine

Good luck and get it up and running for Iowa!!!!!I do...I do know it all... Stay with what we know? We know Mitsubishi 3.0 V6/automatic trans (and that Supras are highly combustible). If we took the platform of a Daytona (ergo four-wheel discs, performance suspension, 16in wheels) and put Shad's beefed up....I mean put Shad's motor in it it'd be great.
