Craig
1st: Pferd, 9442nd: Nismorons, 240SX3rd: Trouble & Mayhem, some kind of BMW, not sure if it's an E30 or E36From what I heard, third place changed hands in the last lap. The unlucky 4th place finisher was Viagara... I'm not sure what their car is.The #7 Thay Ain't Rite MR2 led most of the day, but broke their engine with about 15 minutes left in the race. TBone
# 34 Honda Civic that blew not one, but two rods around hour 6.That happened while going down the front straight, right? I blew our motor just after turn 1 back in September; punched a big hole in the side of the block.John, and I, posted a few things from the race in a different thread:http://forum.chumpcar.com/index.php?/topic/3061-harris-hill-road/
Craig
That happened while going down the front straight, right?Yep, right about as they went past the start-finish stand. If I remember right, it didn't sound quite right as it was approaching (I'm sure I wasn't completely surprised when it blew), and then right in front of me, there was a pop and a lot of smoke, and that was it for them. Guest Texian
That would be the one. There was so much smoke that Rob bailed out because he thought the car was on fire. The recovery truck driver thought so as well.Well no fire, but that was the third engine in three races. Ouch. Live and Learn.
firehawk
How was the turnout?
TBone
How was the turnout?I think 28 cars actually started. I counted 19 still running towards the end. It's funny, but while reviewing the onboard footage, I was struck by how much time I had with open track and barely any traffic. But my memory tells me a different story.

It should only take a few minutes tonight to narrow down the time for you. In the next month, when I have some time, I'm going to try and put a clip together showing at least a few seconds of every car entered that we got video of. My camera ran for 8 hours, so we should have everyone.
TBone
Looks like that spin was about 3 hrs, 55 minutes into the race. Now, go have a talk with your guy about honesty.
