We totally went with the reverse idea and pooped the motor w/ trans still attached out the bottom and lifted the car up with the hoist. That wiring harness is a pain unto its own, but not as bad as it could be. And.. the power steering lines are always worth a hearty W T F. Good work guys .See you at the next event in your area . beansandrice Posted February 21, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 21, 2012 Yeah, you guys are smarter than I am. The motor/transaxle should certainly come out of the bottom instead. I couldn't believe how many wires were attached to that motor near the bulkhead! I kept the revs down this time to avoid having to do the engine swap again...
