A great day of tech! The rain came and went a few times, but no one got overly soaked! 57 vehicles passed tech and will (hopefully) take the flag tomorrow morning. All of the Chumps are excited to put this winter to rest and break out the race season, but Mother Nature has some more of the same ol' stuff.

Just like today, tomorrow and Sunday's low and high are 47 degrees, with a 100% chance of rain. If there was ever a race to use the "rain tires", this would be it. Flood warnings still in effect. Lake PIR will have consumed most of the usual entrance path just previous to the track crossing on the front stretch. Look for the optional turn 8 gate depending on water levels :).

Track opens 7AM.

Driver's meeting at 8.

Green Flag at 9.

As always, live timing is available at http://www.chumpcar....index.php?id=10.

ALSO!

Check out LIVE INTERNET VIDEO! of this entire race, switching between 9 camera feeds, overlayed with timing data for each vehicle at

The live video is awesome, isn't it? You can watch the cars be collected up, watch the driver's meeting, and watch them circulate on the yellow.. and then.. under yellow.. cause another incident in back, wall hit.

All drivers so far have been ok. Vehicles, not so much.

Our race steward today, Ms. Cathy "racy diva" McCause has warned that another red flag means everyone goes home for the day. We passed out the meds during the 2nd driver's meeting, so hopefully everyone calms down a bit.

that'll buff out!

That poop did buff out. 73 Yellow has re-entered the race. The passenger front tire isn't in the same location it used to be... but it is on track.

We're back underway after an extensive cleanup effort. We depleted the safety crew's, track's and several chump team's supplies of clean sweep and kitty litter. Oil from just after turn 7 apex all the way through turn 11. As was stated, an oil cooler line blew off and hosed down the racing line. So, that red flag won't end our racing today. It wasn't a driver-initiated "incident" :).

Cars are back out on yellow.. and we're about to restart. Again.
