Guest posnova
Yesterday's Podium was1st - #70 - Thundercock - BMW E302nd - #8 - Parabellum - Miata 1.8L3rd - #58 - Flyin' Hawaiians and Two White Guys - Datsun 280ZAnd in an ingenious stroke of bad luck, Car 33, the Cowmaro, had passed #58 to take 3rd place, racing to the checkered flag... and then.. entered pit lane and didn't complete the lap, and lost 3rd place and took 4th. The driver said the car felt like it ran out of gas, and without radio contact, had no idea of his position situation. DOH! As such the hopes and dreams of the ChumpStaff to award the first V8 podium vehicle in the Western Region.. were crushed.
Guest posnova
Good morning.Another beautiful Southern California sunny day. Current temp is 78 degrees. High for the day predicted to be 92 or so. Totally normal for November, right?22 vehicles took the green flag this morning after some brutal mechanical failures in the field yesterday. The course was slightly altered today to give the heavy cars a break on tires. We straightened out the back straight a little more. Course changed from 1.55 mi to 1.50.After 1/2 hour of racing the lead car is #33, the cowmaro, followed by 49 taurus sho,and 8 miata. IanZ
So Team 26 will change it's name from Kickin donkey to Cooked donkey.Everyone was OK, we cross threaded the gas cap on the last pitstop, car is OK minus the seat/belts and wiring harness. Still we were lucky. As team leader, I plan to take a break for a bit, let the smoke clear...
