Anyone Run Dunlop Direzza ZII's in Atlanta?

We were on them on the Hong Norrth B car. We like them. Really don't know how much or if they are faster they are from the older versions. They feel more crisp, but when you push the limit of adhesion too far, the grip falls off faster.

BTW- We were on Nitto NT05's. Should get at least another race out of them. Felt decent and fine to me with no issues. My drivers said if I did not tell them they would have though direzzas. We will be running them at VIR 3-30. They are taller than other tires though so take that into consideration when ordering.

Star specs 1 that we used at the Nov Road Atlanta 14hr. I still find it amazing they can handle that much abuse and feel great.

"Full set of Star Specs, 30% tread left and only 2 heat cycles, make offer"

Pretty sure Mike's using them again this weekend at the club race school too. Those tires are going to have over 1000 laps of Road Atlanta soon!

The tires on our 300 have a full ChumpCar season on them. Daytona 14 (ran 13hrs), VIR 24 (ran 23hrs), Sebring (13ish hours) and we put in 5-6 hours at the last Road Atlanta race with it. One of them is looking a little thin on the inside, might run them again at Daytona.

That's very impressive. How wide are your tires?

we did a tire test today, swapping rims between the cars. The 1 year old Star Spec 1s were quicker, more consistent and easier to drive than the DZ2s. The DZ2s will turn one fast lap, then its like they overheat and get slippery, kinda like others have said. Kinda shocked us all! We are hanging onto the last new set of DZ1s for as long as we can!!

The old tires have 60+ hours on them, starting at Daytona last year. The new tires have an hour on them from Road Atlanta, plus several heat cycles on each car today. The results showed that the trend between the tires stayed consistent. In my opinion, the DZ2s should have been quicker than the DZ1s, especially considering that we have noticed that the DZ1s have fallen off some since when we first started tracking them.
