Hey Fellow racers...I have posted a bunch of pictures that I took at the Pueblo Motorsports Park race over the weekend. I have a bunch uploaded with a BUNCH more uploading now. If you see something you like, you can use it, I just ask that you keep the watermark in tact. If you have a need for one of these photos without a watermark, don't be a tool and remove it yourself. Just email me and I'll get you the original.

If you are a motorsport photographer, I welcome your constructive observations and tips for better photos as I continue to improve my technique.

Some C&C.

1 - Slower shuter speed. Most of the photos on track the car look mostly stationary.

2 - Don't do batches of photos that are 100% the same. Pick the sharpest/best and upload that. People will get bored of a gallery quickly otherwise.

3 - Try not to center the car in every single photos. Google "Rule of Thirds". Rules are made to be broken but some you want to consider most of the time.

More like this? It is tough to use the rule of thirds when you use center point focus.

Thanks for the advice. Shooting conditions were arguably not ideal with bright, overhead sun, poor backgrounds, and limited access to tight shooting spots on the track. But hey, what can ya do.

Yup. Better. Even slower shutter though. With boring/distrating backgrounds you can 'fix' it by dragging the background.

And then for rule of 1/3s this is what I was referring to. Give the car somewhere to go. Or frame it in an interesting manner.
