Greetings Race Fans!  Welcome to the Nelson Ledges 14-hour Slugfest... or, is that mud-fest?  More on that in a minute.

A total of 34 cars passed tech inspection yesterday; however, only 30 cars seem to have taken the green flag.  Perhaps a bit too much partying last night?  It's 65 degrees this morning here in Warren, Ohio... clear blue skies and we're looking for a high of 85 degrees.

A notable entry...

Car #184 ---- Will Race For Beer / Robin Bank Racing ---- is running here today.  Yes, race fans, that's the same WRFB #184 (Saab 9-3) that ran last weekend at "The 36" in Spokane and provided us with so much excitement, finishing in 2nd place.  I damn near dropped my coffee this morning when I saw the car arrive late and pull into tech.  Good job, Chumps!

50 hours of racing in two weekends has to be some kind of record! These guys are either a bunch of young guys or some crazy old men, wow! They are definitly addicted to ChumpCar racing. Track is crack !!!

WRFB entered this after the36?! That's hardcore!! Tell me they've entered the 24 as well.

Yes all three rbankracing.com cars (Saab 9-5, 9-3 and Eagle Talon) will be at the VIR 24hr.

Geezzzz, and a bit jealous they are racing so much, they better be good with that much seat time going on.   They rock as competitors !

#114 TFE Racing e36 experienced a bad rear wheel bearing that took out the brakes and axle.  They are in the paddock stripping parts off of the Bruce High Performance Transporter's training car, another e36 (automatic transmission) that the team uses for testing.  Now THAT'S what a great sponsor is for!  Thanx, Bruce!

Oh... WAIT A MINUTE... Bruce is in the e30, driving!  He doesn't even know that his other car is being stripped for parts!

Thats the price you pay if you leave a pre 2000 car in the parking lot at a OBCCWS race.

BRE Datsun #146 must have solved their carburetion problems, as the car continues to make good lap times after their lengthy pit lane stop.

Yeesh! He's running a set of carbs that I sent him. We had fuel starvation above 6000 RPM with those carbs but we have very different engine specs, so Jeff and I were hoping they'd work out. I wonder if it's the same problem creeping back up? Any update?
