Birdman4
Need to ask.....did anyone get "sea sickness" on that little roller coaster of a track?
chip
I instructed on Patriot a few years ago and felt a little car sickness, but the course was run in a clockwise direction and is totally different than what we did this weekend. That was the first and only time for me. Nothing this weekend after 4 hours behind the wheel. This race was rocking and a blast to drive in. Jer
I didn't get sick, but I've never been busier behind the wheel on a track. Barely time to transmit on the radio, and then it was "back to work". Wow, that was fun but a bit frustrating in a Miata. Getting hung up behind a fast, ill-handling car in the twisties was frustrating. Most every car on the track held us up from the chicane through the pit in turn, meanwhile we were among the slower cars down the two straights. chip
Get over it already would you Jer. I had fun keeping you behind me thru all those twisties, just to walk you down the straights and have you catch me again. The track was fun and extremely busy, I was thankful for the red flag and a couple of FCY's during my Saturday stint. These allowed me to catch my breath and get my strength back. Jer
I'm not bitter or bitching, it is what it is. I had a blast in the Miata, but we had to work to get ahead of folks going into the twisties so we could walk away. It seemed like I followed the red and white e30 for an eternity in the 2nd stint. lol I suggested to my team we build a turbo-charged 1.6 Miata so we don't get walked down those straights. dogtired
In the past I have made myself sick running South Course. Mostly nausea.I always attributed it to the Oak Tree Ale....
SpeedRcr78
No motion sickness, but I actually did get pretty warm on Sunday after the first hour of hustling the car around the track. Tons of fun, nothing like a bit-o' opposite lock in a fwd to keep the blood pumping!
Administrators Bill Strong Posted December 10, 2013 Administrators Report Share Posted December 10, 2013 I felt queazy. was a combo of the Gforces and the smell of the fuel being dumped out various places by a number of cars. Second and third stints were great. no issues.
Guest E. Tyler Pedersen
I haven't really felt motion sickness at all during any race. I'm usually really thirsty for a beer after a good 90 minute stint

LateBreak
I went with ABRGlen to USAIR Shawano for testing before Road America. It was built as a gokart track, but they hold auto-x there a few times a summer and it's a pretty fun little course. Lots of ups, downs, and twisty stuff. After one of my sessions I had to breathe deeply for a few minutes to keep from losing my lunch. Guest Russell Green
Turns 7-8 on the Shenandoah circuit at Summit Point. Or simply following any oil burning RX-7. ;-)
