  1. Plenty of Miata people, but anyone would be willing to help you get back on track. Once you're back on track, you're on your own though. Email the event director Dana Morrison (dana.morrison@champcar.org) and ask to be put next to the Drive Skills team (319). One of our teammates is wrenching and driving for them, so I'll tell him to look for you guys. Welcome back!
  2. I assume you'll update the supps as there is also a Test and Tune paragraph on the second page.
  3. @DuncanDana I was asked by a member if there is a practice day on Friday. I went to look at the Supps and while there is a "Move-In Day + Practice Day" listed in the schedule for Friday, there are no details as to when the track will be open. Any clarification? Thank you!
  4. I can't imagine doing this race without a cool suit set up. And constantly drinking. Had to repair our fuel line. One of our team members went and bought fans to cool the car off so they could work on it. It's brutal out here.
  5. Haha. You know you do.... Geaux Tigers!!! But h*ll yes to the rest.
  6. @Bill Strong I started this thread for RA race reports. Please move the race reports over to this thread and delete my thread...
  7. Since I am employed from time to time by ChampCar, I thought I would just go ahead and give those who wish to post their reports... and just their reports a place to go. Admins are free to override me. https://speedhive.mylaps.com/Events/1848877 Saturday and Sunday results are at the link above. For those interested in DisplaceGate and other stuff, @Bandit has a thread going:
  8. There is no way the vision of @Rodger Coan-Burningham with no clothes on can be burned away from my brain....
  9. Ah... um... this may have been mentioned already, but I thought the +/- 2 gallon rule for fuel cells was because it's less expensive to buy a standardized fuel cell which aren't available in all or close too stock sizes? Custom fuel cells get pricey, don't they? Not to mention using those darn displacement balls/blocks.... If the above is true, we can't really get (too) upset about a stock tank holding a bit more (2 gallons or less) than the published capacity. What is fair... and relatively safe? Notice the word 'relatively'.
  10. Of course. I expect an official statement shortly. But that doesn't mean people won't argue about.... something. To be clear, what's going on in this thread is discussion on the implications... and not the actual penalty (like Daytona).
  11. Bill.... will you kindly post this in ChampCar's Facebook group?
  12. Two different instances and cars? I can't keep track anymore, so I'll just dust my lawn chair off and find a cold refreshment.
  13. @wvumtnbkr I was thinking of the overheating issue with the other car. No problems with this car?
  14. Guess you haven't run it enough to really test the brakes yet, right?
  15. So then I shouldn't be reading about board members' opinions on their duties. In the real world, a leadership team puts together a strategic plan with short- and long-term goals. A corporate board reviews and provides input on the plan. The board then provides oversight on whether the company is meeting those goals and whether changes need to be made to adjust to the market. Things can be different for our little organization, but the bylaws should spell that out. (Please don't make me go and read them. It will hurt my brain. Just make sure the CEO and BOD is in agreement on duties.)
