Autobahn Country Club--April 5th--7 hr. Enduro

Recommended Posts

Team #212 of 365 Racing Tuna No Crust (1987) BMW 325i is enjoying their first ever Chump Race, first time on this track, and first ChumpCar and currently holding 2nd place.  They heard about Chump through Team Shake N' Bake and decided to get a car and just finished it last week.  They really wanted the experience of wheel to wheel racing.

Why do some BMWs get a 5 lap penalty yet the first 4 are all BMWs

The ones getting laps are E36 cars, which all start with laps ($540 MPV for the E36 325). The ones at the front of the field are all E30 cars, which start below $500 MPV.

The Team of Car # 190--Tired Iron Repair (otherwise known as Will Race For Beer) is currently in 4th place. Our very own Chump Web Master, Rob Verena, is part of this team and hoping to make a visit as he is home with his wife and brand new baby girl. Congratulations to the Verena family.

Team #74 of Spartan Racing is a bunch of college buddies from Michigan State and have kept in touch over the past 10 years.  They are also college buddies of another ChumpTeam of BuckSnort Racing.  They really enjoy the good environment of Chump and the serious but fun level of competition.

Team # 134 of Bavarian Bulldogs went from 4th to 8th in just the past hour as they left their 4-wheel at home...they spun out and tried to do an off-road excursion.  They got back onto the track but had to come in as there was a vibration.....it was mud stuck in the front left wheel.

Talking with some of the teams and they are loving this awesome facility.  From it's enclosed tech shed, great track surface, and the amazing track management team.  The south circuit is proving to be more technical with it's 15 turns on the 2.1 mile track.  It is definitely challenging the drivers technique.
