Swap value change get ya?

Nope, we wanted a car that could compete without having to do any upgrades. Our Nissan was 400pts last year, so we added a rear sway bar and some lexon windows. This year it's now rated at 550. :(

I'm not going to say I told you so BUT I think I suggested staying with the Mustang might be a good idea... What car are you in again now?

I was out-voted, 3 member team. Besides, I wanted a C4 (550pt) with an automatic (-75pt) and use that 25 points to install a trans cooler (20pt). 495 total.

Awesome. Normally they get back to me within a week or so. I didn't want to bother them with another email, yet :) Thanks!

I think it took four or five e-mails and 2-3 days with me chirping in his ear at Laguna for me to wear him down on the Mustang value.

Hmm, I like this suggestion. Man if we could be at 500 flat, I'd rip out all of the windows and "excessive use of duct tap" around our radiator!

I don't think its the lexan pushing the car over the edge.  @Mike.g are you not running a 2001ish Maxima?  It could be the 225 hp  and 18.5 gallon fuel tank that is pushing the value up! ;):D  Or is it the 3.5L engine with the 6 speed you are running?!

To be fair, your value is probably about right.

We're running the 2002 version with the 3.5. Our main goal was to find a car that was competitive without cheaty upgrades. We stripped out the inside of the car, added a rollcage and painted the car. That was it. This is a car that defines the true spirit of Chumpcar, add a cage and go racing! It turned out to be a nice little race car with manageable under steer. And it was finally nice to have a car that I didn't have to keep pointing to what side to pass me on every lap.

We emailed them last year and they gave us 500pts, we purchased the car with that number in mind. If was over 500, we would have never got it, or maybe have gone the automatic route like I talked about for the C4. But omg, it's a freaking 4 door family car, not a 350z or BMW...

Maybe you're right @thewheelerZ, but I don't have to like it.

haha, fair enough.  Man though, with that power, you should be able to pull just about anything on the straights!

It's good, but not amazing. And yeah, that Nissan 3.5 is awesome. But so many go fast parts are not compatible with ours. I can't even find a place within several hundred miles that could flash the tune. The car has a bad habit of going into limp mode... I'd also like to reduce the redline to 5500ish so one of our drivers wont keep winding it up to 7000... I'd like to use the same salvage motor all year please!

Here is us racing our pit neighbor at Road America. Awesome group of people! And look at the restraint of just stabbing the car into the corner at turn 1 :) An ounce of lift can save a ton of car!

Air horn !     What's the reason behind it ?     I guess it's loud enough or u wouldn't be using it.    Radio issues ?    Curiosity killed the cat.   :)

Just for fun. Most every lap the team will give you a fist pump from the pit while the driver honked the air horn. Radio works ok, and the horn is just loud enough to sound like a sick goose from the pits.
