BMW 318M For Sale

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine is selling his well prepped BMW 318M.

Sorry will have to follow the link pictures

I haven't begun to try to do any PWR/Swap/Points math on this - will take someone a lot smarter than me to figure that out!!

This fantastic car combines the light weight 318 body with the M3 drivetrain resuiting in a fast, enjoyable and yet challenging analogue experience in a disconnected digital world!  Unfortunately a second kid in as many years will limit the racing opportunities and this must go.

S50 M3 engine transplant with Schrick cams, big injectors and centex custom chip
Tilton clutch
Getrag 5 speed transmission
Quaife 3.46 limited slip differential
Full roll cage with gussets throughout
Tubbed rear allowing for wider wheel and offsets
Carbon fiber hood
Plexiglass rear windows
Fuel cell
5 point race belts for both seats
Full race suspension
Fire suspension system
Full race interior
Matching OMP racing seats

Only minor body repair is needed in most places.  I didn't care to spend the $1,000 or so perfect the body as I didn't want a flawless race car.  Hood has cracks around the hood pins (real carbon fiber) but works fine.  Beyond the body this car is in fabulous condition under the hood, in the engine bay, and under the car.  At this price you are stealing the car when you see all the money that was spent on it!

Things I have completed since purchase (19 months):
EBC Yellow Stuff brake pads on all corners.
StopTech slotted rotors on the front. Centric premium high carbon rotors on the rear.
Braille Racing Battery.
Turner Motorsports racing thermostat.
Urethane transmission mounts.
All fluids replaced including oil, transmission, diff, brakes, coolant and power steering.  Only Brad Penn, Redline and Castrol SRF fluids used.
Spare Parts:
One new and 6 used Hoosier Racing Slicks (245/35/18).
Getrag 5 speed transmission.  Taken from a 2000 Z3.  Tested and shifts great.
Two 18X9 SSR Comp wheels.
One new Potenza S-04 tire. (245/35/18).  Four S-04's currently on the car with 75%+ tread.
Ten quarts Brad Penn racing oil (20w-50).
