RandomTask
Tires above. Going to get some ZR1 A-mold replica wheels, 17 x 11's. . . need some rubber. Biggest size I can get the Falkens in is 275/40/17. I can get the Nitto's in 315/35/17. Will it simply be down to size or are the falkens going to be that much better than the nittos? (or will the nittos be way worse than the falkens). Thanks! Edited March 28, 2017 by RandomTask
bbqman
I think these tires are about equal in grip levels. The Nt05 has less tread depth- so maybe less life- however all things the same, the 315/35 will be grippier than the 275/40 so its worth a try for sure. CBraden
I would go for the 615k+ and use the 275, would be really good sidewall support on an 11" rim. I expect this would be faster and feel more responsive than a 315 on an 11. My $.
TiredBirds
we used the Nitto's for a few races, I find them to become greasy when they get hot. We are now using Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec's. We are going to try the Falkins next...oh and don't even try to run the Nitto's in the rain. Not sure what car you run but we run an 84 Trans Am, not the smallest lightest on the track.
