WastedAccounts
My friend and I are starting to put together a team in the SE region for the 2018 season. We're hoping to volunteer our time during "The Sebring 14" to get some experience. We're total noobs to actual racing but definitely not new to cars. If any team is looking for some crew members we'd be glad to help out. We'd be glad to help out in any fashion for the race really but would prefer to crew to get experience running a team. pintodave
Yup. Same here. Feel free to swing by our pits and check out what not to do Hopefully we do not need any help, but hanging out for pit stops for educational purposes or in case we need a hand is always good.
WastedAccounts
That's awesome. Thanks to both of you. Should we just show up on race day with our fire proof safety gear and head the pit area then? I'm not expecting to fuel a car on my first day but I'd think I could hold a fire extinguisher. We usually have extra crew suits on hand, reg thru xl, but bring your gear, it's like your American Express card. Don't leave home without it And yes, pretty much just show up and start wandering lol. Edited June 29, 2017 by pintodave

We always have a helmet and 1 pc fire suit in "santa size" (thanks mogren for the idea) will bring another suit, come by the 19 Infiniti "shark" pits and introduce yourself, free water and Gatorade for the jack passer and extinguisher holder. sonofamitch
Forget Infinity and Pinto! You'll just end up standing around and watching! Come to our pit and you'll have plenty to do . Changing water pumps, replacing header bolts, retiming the engine after someone forgot to tighten the distributor properly, finding the plug wire that is burnt through enough to cause a "miss", reattaching the shifter after searching for bolts and nuts that "go together", etc. The fun never stops for us!!
sonofamitch
Our race car has not been touched and is sitting on jack stands since Road Atlanta!! So we'll be prepared as usual! HAHA, got dirt bikes to race!!!

Snorman
We'll be there with a new car a few of us from EI Racing #407 are bringing out for renters. Our EI pit is good, but if you want to help out in our InActive Motorsports pit, come on over. Did I mention that at every Sebring race we have access and use of a private upstairs suite and catered food? S.

Why would we need open flames for finger sandwiches and hors d'oeuvres? And we certainly won't heat caviar and pâté. I rescind our even cursory consideration of your application to join us on the second floor. S.
