So, who's going?  Is there a chance we will hit 45 cars?  Any other EC/Race cars taking advantage of the 3 hour enduro option?

Officially one month left until we go racing again!  A track day is booked this coming Saturday for a little bit of race car therapy but other than that Wheelhouse Racing is ready to go.

Pocket Deuces Racing is strongly considering attending with our #922 1990 Miata.

I believe there is a 3 hour enduro and 6 hour enduro option.  The registration page says "2 days" after both options.  Does this mean signing up for either of these enduros gets you 2 days of those short races (i.e., signing up for the 6 hour enduro option for $800ish gets you a 6-hour enduro on Saturday and a 6-hour enduro on Sunday)?  If so, we're doing the Double-6s!

best to email wendy@chumpcarcanada.com to confirm.

BUT why not just enter the full event?

Calabogie is awesome. Be sure to get one of the badass hotel rooms there. Also there is a scan on rfactor, the sizing is a little of but it will help you get an idea of all the corners.

The wording is a bit confusing.  I'd bet that what they mean is 6 hour enduro as in 3+3.  But, don't forget the price is in Cdn$ too, makes for a pretty cheap race entry.

But I agree with Ken, come do the whole thing!  A well driven Miata could do well there.

I would have agreed with you on it being a 3+3, but the registration gives separate options for "3 hour enduro (2 days)" and "6 hour enduro (2 days."  I emailed back and forth with Wendy, and although she was really helpful I'll admit I'm still not 100% certain.

I wrote "For final clarification though, if we chose the 6-hour enduro option, is this a 6-hour enduro on Saturday and a 6-hour enduro on Sunday? Or is it just one 6-hour enduro?" And the response was "The 6 hour is for Saturday and Sunday yes".  I may try calling as this would be cleared up in a second over the phone in an actual conversation.

As far as why the shorter enduro option vs the main event?  Simply put, although I support Chumpcar and Chumpcar Canada as great organizations, money is always a factor.  The team has already done 3 race weekends this year, and our final projected event was going to be the December VIR.  This seems like a great option for an "extra" race, and if it's actually 2 x 6-hour races for $900ish, that ends up being a much better value than the 16 hours of driving in the main event for $1700ish.  (I'm hoping these numbers I'm seeing on the registration page are CAD, but MotorsportReg isn't exactly Canadian based so I'm not sure at this point.)

If/when I get a clarification on this, I'll post it up here.

99% sure that it's Canadian dollars, not USD.  The fees on Motorsportsreg are early $1356 and late $1582 ... which are $1200+13% HST tax and $1400+13% HST. So for you being from the US you're looking at less than $1300USD vs. $1700 for the event main event.  Seems like a good deal to me.

As you said, the best way to contact Wendy is to call her.  She's very friendly and you will be able to get a clear answer instantly.
