VIR has Charity Laps for Victory Junction on Friday.  I think it's $25 for 20 minutes on the full course.

15 min sessions. Behind a pace car.

I'll be headed there this weekend to instruct with the Tarheel Sports Car Club who will be running the Grand West course on Sunday. Coming down from DC if anyone has requests.

Headed down from South East PA to check out what Champcar is all about. Hotel booked, spectating Sat, home Saturday night.

I have done 2 citrus races a couple years ago and had a blast.

Thanks Ross

Hey Ross welcome and get ready to see some great racing .  We are in it for the fun but you won't find any games here ..  come by the 730 pit and say hi , my name is Ray..  You could check with Champ staff and see if they need help on pit road as you can learn a lot about how things work , you know rules and stuff .

Small crowd so far.  Wonder what the hold up is?  I know we are waiting until our car is done before we sign up, 99.99% sure we will be there.

I've driven the South course in my 911 at a DE and loved it, but our fat Supra would NOT like the Bitch or Fishhook, so we're staying home and prepping for Charlotte.

Hey all!  Is there fuel available in the South Paddock?  When we ran the 24 we used the on-site fuel making life easier.  Never ran the South course so any help appreciated!

Se y'all there!

Edited, because I was wrong. Yes, showers are to the right of tech shed.

The South facilities are much smaller with less room for trailers.  Limited electric service.

Not signed up yet?

Wonder how many other teams are planning on coming but aren't yet signed up.  Over 10 more official entries in the past week alone!

There are 3 critical corners on the south course one of them is named the bitch but the other two can be . Paddock is small but we have been there with 80+ , so this event should be a piece of cake. I feel more will show up than what is signed up now . Course is tight but allows good racing just hold your line and watch your mirrors cause the , we , fast guys are coming quick .

I heard 4-5 cars failed tech due to a window net date. Sure would be nice if the rules were clear on these type of things before you get to a race and are told that you can't race. One of the teams I know never goes on the forum so they weren't privy to all the conversations about the secret rules.

While I can appreciate the intention, I think the reality is that most of these cars sit inside and don't suffer much material deterioration that is behind the dating of window nets and seat belts.

Given the current rule interpretations that state that a rule is essentially considered a stand-alone (i.e. if it doesn't say stock in the rule or sentence ...), having the harness and helmet rules specify clearly that dates matter and no indication of that in the window net/arm restraint or driver's suit section, it's a little disingenuous to fail cars for a failing of the rules.
