Administrators Bill Strong Posted September 27, 2018 Administrators Report Share Posted September 27, 2018 The idea is to give a new person to racing a checklist of items that are required or recommended on pitlane. It can even be used by experienced teams too, as we have seen some of you have been showing up with, well, not the right required gear. this is a review copy only. Not the final product. what am I missing that you think should be added? Is the wording ok? PDF attached or an image. you choose. TheBuster
Wording looks good to me. Is the pit equipment something that will be officially checked at every race, or yearly tech'ed or TBD? Also, Rags not Wrags.
Administrators Bill Strong Posted September 27, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted September 27, 2018 added Current BCCR and Event supps to required. with associated hyperlinks Rags spelling fixed added water for drinking - recommended added Cooler for ice and water - recommended Pitlane required stuff will be inspected every race. Fire bottle, fuel spill pan, "kitty litter", dump can size.
thewheelerZ
Isn't the broom and dustpan required equipment? What are you going to pickup the kitty litter with otherwise? If it were me, id make a great distinction as to what is required and what is recommended. Like maybe a thick line to separate them or different shading. I.e. HERE ARE THE ITEMS WE WILL BE CHECKING.
Administrators Bill Strong Posted September 27, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted September 27, 2018 Bold, I can bold them. as to the required dustpan, the BCCR says broom and dp are recommended. It used to say required but disappeared sometime in the past. Will bring up with the boss
LAMR2
Yeah, definitely needs something to physically separate or at least make the ones that are required appear differently.
Administrators Bill Strong Posted September 27, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted September 27, 2018 Bolded. it stands out on the PDF version. Not so much on the Indesign version.
JDChristianson
You forgot cookies and various snacks to share with pit marshals and various staff that look like they may tell you that you've done a bad thing. Seriously though this looks like a pretty good list.

EZ PEEZY Oh I now see thats kinda what you have done Edited September 27, 2018 by Ray Franck
Administrators Bill Strong Posted September 28, 2018 Author Administrators Report Share Posted September 28, 2018 no red. 99.9999999% or people print on a monochrome laserjet from their work. Plus wouldn't colorblind people just show up with party stuff?
Black Magic
Would driving talent be recommended, required or optional on pit road? Guess it depends on how the race is going. Otherwise list looks good.
