hey.. so, my minty fresh Miata has a boat load of tire rubber marks on it. I have found that WD-40 works pretty good for removing them but i wanted to know what everyone else uses.

also, mine is a wrap, not paint, so i cannot use solvents that are too hot.

let me know what you think.

thanks!!

Mothers 09224 R3 Racing Rubber Remover - 24 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005R5WGCS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qkPXBb2FGC9RJ

This. X10.

I've been using it for a few years. Last year, we blew a trailer tire on the way to the VIR24. It de-laminated and whipped up onto 3 of the panels on the trailer. R3 cleaned all of the rubber of the panels. I only had to replace a single panel that was damaged through the outer finish.

It's really good stuff.

Citrol.

The only thing Ive found that takes Track Salad marks off paint/vinyl without really scrubbing.  Spray on, soak, rub lightly, rinse off.

Buffing compound with a soft pad on the buffer.  Wash well before and finish with a good quality wax.  The wax will make it easier next time.  This is the fastest route, especially when there are a lot of them (like after long races on <180TW tires).

Not said yet here, but starting fluid does pretty well too.
