JonnyAction
I am interested to find out how many points are used on a short shifter? I don't see it listed in the Fixed Point Value List (4.3.2). I only see shifter handle listed under driver comfort items (4.7.2). Is it allowed? If so, at what cost? Is that true just for shifters or other parts too? I didn’t know that buying from a discount retailer made non-stock parts zero points

pintodave
Hey, just remind people you can buy turbo parts on Amazon, they are like a discount retailer!

Snorman
It's a really hard case to make that a shifter should be points. I've never seen a car realize any performance gain whatsoever from a shifter. What's next...points for aftermarket pedals and steering wheels? Let's not get effing ridiculous here. Razor's edge / deep cuts..... There is certainly some truth to that. In the future I will try and build cars that are more robust against rule changes. I am obviously doing something wrong when every rule change forces me to do a major rebuild.

We built a bulkhead with a big sheet of aluminum and built a barrier between the rear seat and the trunk.
