Ok, what I am gathering, looks like I only get one, passenger side, fuel gauge.

Current plans are to have both sides pulling fuel using low pressure lift pumps through 2 identical tank units.

All passenger side fuel sending units are the same, regardless of year model.

These are the ones that go into the fuel pump hanger.

The driver side fuel sending units on late model tanks are stand alone and are not mounted with a fuel pump.

good point on the driver side mount. you need find/buy another pass side one if you want easy path to dual sided pickups (less fab effort).

Already on it, I have 2 early tank units with gauge and one late fuel pump hanger missing gauge sender.

Driver side on early car = nothing was there

Driver side on late car = fuel level sending unit, bespoke to late cars, (0-60ohm)

Passenger side on early car = low pressure high flow pump, fuel level sender (0-60ohm)

Passenger side on late car = high pressure fuel pump direct to rail, fuel level sender (0-60ohm)

Early car fuel gauge - 0-60 ohm

Late car fuel gauge - wired in series with BOTH sending units, 0-120ohm

early and late fuel pump hangers are different.  If you are going external pumps I would get two early fuel pump hangers.

BUY NEW O-RINGS!!! there are two, one for the fuel pump hanger and one for the fuel pump hanger fuel sending unit.  They are cheap, but the ethanol makes them swell and they will leak if you dont replace them every time!

  • Thanks 1
