jcorbs
Hi Folks: We are new to Champcar and our team techie has asked me to ask the following: " do you use a PL, CTCSS or CG code on the ChampCar 151.625 MHz East and Central Event Race Control / Pitlane Radio frequency and if so, what is it? ". Our first race is at the Charlotte Roval at the end of the month. Thanks for your help. John C for Maddjac Pacing
Technical Advisory Committee Chris Huggins Posted April 10, 2019 Technical Advisory Committee Report Share Posted April 10, 2019 champ switched to digital radios as of 2019 so no more listening in to pit control, unless you have a digital radio and they are willing to share the details, which I am not aware of being shared at this time. jcorbs
Interesting. They provide this in the Roval supplemental rules: ChampCar Race Control / Pitlane Radio Frequency: East and Central Event Tracks – 151.625 MHz

I'm not sure what ChampCar is using, but we have Vertex 531 hand helds and a Vertex 5400 mobile in the pit. I just sent a message to Bill asking for the details on their digital frequency. We have since updated. They are digital now. I don't know any of that tech. But... You will get more usable info by listening to champcar.live because we listen into the flaggers, we have staff with race control, and we monitor the CCES radios. 9 hours ago, reidry said: I'm not sure what ChampCar is using, but we have Vertex 531 hand helds and a Vertex 5400 mobile in the pit. Administrators Bill Strong Posted April 15, 2019 Administrators Report Share Posted April 15, 2019 I get yelled at by my producer when I interrupt the small talk about when the yellow and green fly. 1
