I'll be volunteering for this one.  As of this month it's been a year since my last Champcar race. 😥  My other Chattanooga team (which consists of Chattanooga Tourenwagen plus the car owner) are working on a Thunderturd to replace the Mustang that died at Sebring in December, so hopefully I'll be back racing early next year.

What hotel do you guys recommend? I always end up staying 30 minutes away and I hate being that far away.

Try Airbnb to get closer. Dawsonville doesn’t have but 2-3 hotels and they are all 15 min away at least

One of our drivers is staying with family for the race, so we have an extra room at Microtel in Jasper for Friday night and Saturday night ($123/night)

You are 3 years behind on updating your signature, time to update it with all those podiums.

On Halloween weekend 2009, ChampCar (as ChumpCar back then) launched our first event.  10 years later we'll throw our 302nd green flag at AMP.  But you're not here for that, you want to race.  Read on to answer some of your most pressing questions.

Gates - Gates will open at 7am Friday for all teams.

Test Day - Discovery Parts is hosting a test day on Friday.  The cost is $275 per car.  For more info and to register, click here - https://discoveryparts.com/amp-events/3513-october-25-open-track-day-at-atlanta-motorsports-park.html

SOUND LIMIT - AMP strictly enforces a sound limit of 98dB.  If their equipment catches you over that limit, you will be black flagged and given one chance to repair your exhaust.  After your 2nd offense you will be parked for the day.

Pit Assignments - Click here for your pit assignments.

Transponders If you entered a transponder number (or entered anything really) while you where registering we assume you're bringing your own.  Please verify that you have entered the correct number or that you reserved a transponder if you're not supplying your own.  If you use a subscription based MyLaps X2 transponder, make sure your subscription is current.  When your subscription ends, the X2 will not count laps!

Tech - All cars will need to be tech'd for 2019 unless you've had your 2019 annual tech completed.  Bring all your paperwork filled out and make sure you have read the rules.  Swap cars with no paperwork will likely be put in EC.  Tech opens at Noon on Friday.  Decals will be handed out at Tech and will be required to pass tech. Decal locations are shown in the BCCR appendix.

Registration - Make sure you tech first, then bring your yellow logbook and tech sheet signed by us directly to registration.  Before you arrive, log in and check your driver roster for accuracy.  Make any corrections ahead of time.  If you are fully paid with the correct drivers, check-in is a 3 minute process.  If you are not coming (work issue, car issue, etc), email me to let me know you will not be there.

Sponsors - Tire Rack will be awarding a $400 gift certificate for tires to a lucky winner.

Novice School - For any first time road racers, we'll hold our novice school at 5pm on Friday on the 2nd floor of the main building.

ChampCar.Live -  If you will have your own live feed to YouTube, Facebook, or some other site, please share your feed with us by filling out the LiveFeed form at

https://ChampCar.org/livefeed

You can share our live show with friends and family by using the www.ChampCar.live URL. That will take you to the ChampCar.live YouTube page.

A reminder: read through and print out the Supplemental Rules for this event here.

If you have any questions you can contact me here.

We're looking forward to seeing you all in Georgia!
