Streaming at Indy

Is there an update on how to successfully use the Yi cameras to stream now?  I had trouble at CMS and was unable to get the stream working.

I would like to figure it out this week prior to Indy so things can happen.

Thanks

Does using the Custom Live Push URL not work? (FWIW, I could not get our stream to work using RTMP to YouTube off our gopro, but this might be different)

NOTE: Using the out of box YouTube Live settings for Live Platform is currently not functioning due to a change in YouTube live stream policy.

However you can still stream to YouTube without needing 1000 subscribers by entering in Custom Live Push URL for YouTube.

Thank you.

Test stream completed successfully.   Scheduled streams setup for 0745 both days.

Good info - if yall have good luck with the live stream this weekend please post a follow up. If it's really this easy, then I'll get back in the live stream game. I love it, but not to the point to become a A/V expert with equipment. If they've finally got it nailed down to something that is pretty easy like this, and it works, that is great. Nice work-around for YouTube as well.

I'm using the same method as above as well.  I'm usually the one running around getting the cameras, radios, etc all installed and working before we go out on track.

FYI I talked with Paulie yesterday and he said that sometimes he has had the scheduled streams not work, so he has had to set them back up manually.  I have the setup the same streams as well, so we will see when Saturday morning comes around.

How much data does the Yi 4K use in 720P mode?  I am testing mine now and I cannot figure out how to connect it to the phone to use the data from that phone.  The phone is connected to the camera via wi-fi.  So, it won't let me turn on HotSpot on that same phone.  I imagine that I need to use another phone or a hotspot.  Problem with the hotspot is that it is limited to 10GB.  How much data will this camera use for a live stream?

I used my Verizon ellipses 8 tablet with Larix broadcast app and streamed via driverseye.live

i streamed at 640. Even though I have unlimited data, it looks like I got throttled both days at 2pm on. The stream worked the whole time even with the throttle. It was about 45 seconds behind but it was successful!!
