2020 ChampCar iRacing Series

Recommended Posts

The schedule for the 2020 ChampCar iRacing Series has been announced. Please head over to the thread linked below for all details.

Please note that the prize structure for the upcoming season has been adjusted. There are still two grand prizes on offer (a race entry to a CCES round in 2021); one will be awarded to the overall championship winner, and the other to a competitor who has competed in the series throughout the year. This means that even if you're not running at the front every week, a consistent participation effort can still lead to a big prize!

A reminder that tonight is the first round of the CCiS, and the start of a year long journey that will see two lucky virtual competitors win fantastic real-life track prizes with ChampCar. The race will be broadcast live on YouTube, starting at 9:50pm ET. If you are interested in the series then please come and join us in the dedicated area of the forum. With 4 drop weeks it is in no way too late to get involved in the championship and stand a chance of winning a free CCES race entry.

I didn't want to derail the Red Flag thread any more than I already had, so moving any iRacing discussion to this one that has already been established (but refreshing it so that people might see it again).

With the sad hiatus of many motorsport events, sim racing has received heightened interest and profile in recent days - there have been pro-NASCAR events and record numbers of participants across multiple platforms.

We believe iRacing is the premier platform for multiplayer racing and league organisation, and there is still a chance to join up in the iRacing Sim Series and compete for a chance of the 2020 grand prize - a $1500 credit towards a real world ChampCar race in 2021. Please feel free to reach out for more information!

Here is an idea...why not run the real race for the actual duration on the race day? This could be done separate from the series. Have Doc, Paul and Bill live broadcast, offer trophies and awards as if it were a real race.

And make it only available to registered Champcar members so us plebeians have an actual chance of winning!

We've had a great response from the CCES community in signing-up for our upcoming iRacing Daytona special event. 25 teams of ChampCar drivers have signed up to run the event, including representatives of most notable CCES teams.

We are about to open up registration to the wider iRacing community, in order to publicise ChampCar to a wider audience and to attract some notable names to the race. If you want to get your registration in before the slots sell out, I urge you to sign up ASAP.
