That is a VIR event. Not ChampCar. From what I understand, its not open to non-members. Thats all I know. I dont even know if it is going to happen

No, why?
Va is not like the other surrounding states that can't get their crap together.
Virginia Governor Northam announced that every region of the Commonwealth is expected to move to Phase Three on Wednesday, July 1.

20 spots left before a waitlist starts.

FYI - Virginia goes to phase three on July 1.

But expect to wear a mask and stay in your social groups etc.

ChampCar has made a box (tape on the ground) that I am supposed to stay in at all events. It's part of the CCES Corp Covid-19 rules.
For some odd reason the box location is showing on the South Course Paddock. I sent Mike an email letting him know that we are paddocking on the North Course. His reply was that "he knew that".

I'll work this out somehow.

The USA in general needs to get their poop together. Border still closed, no fun. Doesn't look like it'll change anytime soon either.

And now the Europeans aren't letting Americans in.

But do we really want to go there? They don't shave their arm pits!

That's just being opportunistic.  They didn't like American's much unless they are saving their ass in some kind of war.

How many of these teams are coming from North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota?  Any of them?

I don't believe there are any restrictions on total number of team members/crew. We are intending to have ~14 team members on site, all of whom will be driving or crewing the car. All of us will of course comply with facility guidelines on distancing and masks. Outside of that, I don't see an issue with outright numbers. Let us know if this is different from the way I'm reading it, because we'll need to withdraw if so.

We will be have 15+ people also.  I was told 1000 person max.  72 teams registered as of now.  Figure 50-100 people from the track and Champcar.  That leaves 12-13 people per team.  Some teams don't bring but 3-4 people,  I think we should be okay to not have a per team number like at Charlotte.  I have heard you will have to provide the track a list of people that will be attending.

Can Champ define "essential crew"? We have two people coming for the sole purpose of providing their RV for us to sleep/cool off. To us, thats essential. Does VIR view it the same way? Thanks!

That seems like essential crew.

We do have a limit of 1000 people.  That is plenty of room for a VIR24 event.

Most teams bring 6 to 8 people.
Masks will be required.
Social distancing outside your social group will be enforced.

We want to race. We need to race.
